CVC (card security code) is a three-digit or four-digit number that provides extra security to credit card transactions.
- MasterCard, Visa, Diners Club, JCB, Discover: CVC is the last three-digits printed on the signature panel of the card on the back side of the card.
- American Express: CVC is a four-digit code printed on the front side of the card above the number.
